Kween is a cultural leader and Creative Lead at The Red Rattler Theatre, where she has shaped programming, vision, and community engagement. Beginning as a casual bookings coordinator, she steadily grew into a leadership role, now overseeing artistic programming, partnerships, and strategic planning.

As Program Manager, she has delivered large-scale projects, managed finances, worked alongside the Board of Directors, and ensured compliance with governance requirements. She has successfully curated and coordinated diverse live music, arts programs, film, and cultural events, building The Red Rattler’s reputation as an inclusive, grassroots arts hub.

Her career spans over 15 years across arts management, national and community broadcasting. In her early career, Gladys was a producer and presenter on SBS Radio, before moving into leadership roles at Radio Skid Row and the Community Media Training Organisation. She has also contributed extensively to advocacy and mentoring within multicultural, First Nations, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Beyond her role at The Red Rattler, she serves as Chair of the Board at Addison Road Community Organisation (Addi Road), a leading multicultural community centre in Marrickville. In this governance role, she supports Addi Road’s vision of a just, equal, sustainable, and diverse community, advancing its purpose to deliver community-led programs in arts, culture, environmental, food and social justice.
