LOCK & KEY IV: Bike Thief // ChooKi // Arsonist

LOCK & KEY IV:

High-energy hybrid club percussion unit BIKE THIEF are on it again with another instalment of experimental club night LOCK&KEY. Ffresh from a scorching set at Dark Mofo and a support slot for Samurai Breaks (UK), the trio continue expanding their trademark sound further into the depths of experimental percussion, jittery samples, hypnotic minimalism.

FR3AK POP machine ChooKi creates high-saturation, low-fidelity experimental, electronic music. Newly Melbourne based, ChooKi self produces/writes/records her tracks just recently releasing her debut album PR3TTY G1RL.

Arsonist is an obsessive, Bengali born, chooser of music, who experiments with its form and function. Currently operating on Gadigal Land in so-called “Australia”. He lends himself to unapparent danceability and abrasive headyness you can come to expect surprisingly delightful textures. He channels his all-consuming desire to push the experimental low-end through various underground scenes within Eora, and through the degradation of his cochlear. Mutative in his approach to genre he is able to reconfigure whatever context he is thrust in by warmly aligning as well as clashing in an almost deviant fashion. Supporting the likes of Digital (UK), Eric Cloutier (US) and S280F (US), DJ Sport (ESP) as well as on the bill for major experimental festival DARK MOFO.

This event takes place on unceded Wangal land. Always was, always will be.
