The Next Generation: NAIDOC Takeover

NAIDOC Takeover: The Next Generation
This Saturday at The Rat

The Next Generation is this year’s NAIDOC theme a call to honour our youth, their strength, and the future they’re building.

But how can institutions celebrate while continuing to harm the very young people they claim to support?

Blak youth are over-policed, under-protected, and forced to survive systems built against them. Still, they lead, create, and fight back.

This Saturday, we gather for a night of truth-telling, resistance, and community – led by Blak youth and organisers. With poetry, music, dance and a panel unpacking what justice really looks like.

We’re not here for black squares or branding exercises.
We’re here for our youth.
We’re here for real change.

Featuring powerful performances by Walan Miimi, Bowra Boy, Wiradjuri, Gudgenburra & Gumbaynggirr youth dancers, and Knxyy, a Gadigal-based rapper and producer.

All Ages- minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
